Roads Poem by Anonymous Ghurl

Roads

Rating: 3.0

In a place where none dare go
Deep in a wood of yellow
I found the place where the two roads met
I looked around and then I set
My troubles and my burdens down
Then sat upon the stone-cold ground
I put my hands up to my eyes
As if I held a treasured prize
I cried untill I had no tears
But still I had my dreaded fears
There are two roads but which one should
I follow unward which one's good
I need a sign please help me out
What shall I do must I scream and shout
Just then I heard a tiny sound
Of music falling all around
I looked up one road and what I saw there
Was happy and glowing shining and fair
You walked to my side and gently took hold
Of my hands on my knees and softly you told
Me that I did not have to walk on alone
And scolded me saying that I should have known
That you will always be there to help me along
And we'll be together we'll always belong
Then you helped me up and you split up my load
And together we walked down our long sun-lit raod
