Robbed A Matilda

Rating: 4.5

'to the tune waltz sing matlida'

Once a V8 driver stopped at a petrol pump,
And saw that fuel was priced at two dollars and three
So cried as he threw his car keys in the nearest bin
‘I can’t afford to go driving’ said he

As he walked down the road in protest of the petrol hikes
A beautiful girl stopped to give him a ride
And today’s economy
Forced them to be the next Bonny and Clyde

So they robbed a Matilda, robbed a Matilda
They robbed a Caltex and a BP
And they sang as they drove away
‘We can buy food now that petrol is free’

So they went around for a year stealing fuel
Saved for a house, even bought a new car
And the first time they paid for fuel since they fell in love
They wished they had brought a 4 cylidar

So they robbed a Matilda, robbed a Matilda
They robbed a Caltex and a BP
And they sang as they drove away
‘We can buy food now that petrol is free’

To be continued……

Interesting theme and nice bit of irony going on. Are you going to continue it...?
