Robot Poem by Asolua Fifita

Robot

If I was a robot
I would be controlled
I wouldn't be hurt
Nor affected
By words
No matter how strong,
Cold, harsh and anguish
They might be

I can be broken and be fixed
By a screw driver and
A few nuts
I can be reset and restored
Overload and overwrite
Voiceless or montonous
Scanned, programmed and
Rebooted

You can upload
whatever you want into
My build-in memory
You can programmed
Functions
Whatever you desire
And I can do it
As long as I have
Functional batteries

We can talk all day and night
Because you gave me
artificial intelligence
To follow your conversational line
I can be your 'smart friend'
The next best thing
But do know

I lack empathy
I want to cry but
I am tearless
I cannot laugh
For I am thoughtless
I want to be with you forever
But unlike you
My chips ran out of memory
My motherboard and controllers
Have reached their
Dates of expiry
