Rockets Fall Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Rockets Fall

Rockets fall through this weak roof
The salt hurts my knees, where else could I go
I’ve been succumbed to my own paper bag of fits
This isn’t even the mild one; it’s the beast of all
I hold my arms in, screaming as my eyes remain closed

I’ve so much to bleed out
but why am I still undressed
like an empty page?
What do you think of that?
Oh wait, you don’t give a shyte.
