Roll Be Another One, Jac Poem by Mary Champion

Roll Be Another One, Jac

I've been trying to make it alone,
Cos you're bad for my soul, I can see,
But I'm too tired to stand on my own,
Gotta have me a taste of your sweet fantasy.
So roll me another one, Jac,
And please don't look at me that way.
I know I should not take you back,
But I'm not man enough to escape you today.

I've been trying to hide from my past
And you looked like a future to me.
But now my head's spinning so fast,
Out here in the sunshine, I'm too blind to see.
So roll me another one Jac,
And magic the hurting away.
I know that I'm on the wrong track,
But I'm not man enough to escape you today.

I've been trying to act like a man
And you looked like the woman I need,
Not stopping to think, I began
To head down the road at a hell-raising speed.
So roll me another one Jac
Though I'm not so sure I can play,
I know that I don't want you back,
But I'm not man enough to escape you today
No I'm not man enough for a woman today.
