Roll Call, Elementary Poem by Zachary Buck Hultman

Roll Call, Elementary

Teacher roll calling
First names this is elementary
‘If you have any nick names please correct me'
‘Annie, ' ‘here'
What? I know her, we have a history
Since three trying to court thee
Remembering you already agreed
‘Zachary, ' hide my face please
Hand will mask my identity
‘Zack why are you trying to hide from me? '
‘Teacher, call me Machiavelli'
‘How do you spell Machiavelli? '
‘No idea, doesn't matter to me.'
I gotta a letter to write in the next week
1st grade and I've got me something up my sleeve
