Roo @ 14 Poem by Ivan Pine

Roo @ 14

Rue my rue, you’re not twenty-two
Nor twenty four or more,
I suppose by now, its such a cow
And being thirteen, was quite a bore.

Well indeed, as times your steed
And happily gallops past,
Think back, on the last twelve months
That’s really gone quite fast.

With trumpet playing and blowing puff
All on the count of three,
Musicianship, ensembles, and doing all that stuff
A Roo, our special Rue, as busy as a bee.

Eating all of Grandma’s food
Then off to trumpet playing,
That’s a time, when in your bed,
You would rather be in, laying.

Hockey playing, Tennis too
All in the name of fun,
With Stace and Jess, you’re never blue
Chewing, chewing gum.

So now again, it’s our special day
Coz we celebrate your birth,
When our eyes mist and say,
Roo, we love you with all our worth….
