Rose Petals Poem by Brianna King

Rose Petals

I loved the way your blue eyes shined,
When you told me you loved me that Saturday night,
But why did you go?
And leave me alone?
I really do miss you,
I really did love you.

Your silhouette waved goodbye,
For the last time,
Rose petals died,
And the sky started to cry.

I wanted to grow old,
With the one that I loved,
But you left me,
Crying in the dark.

Your silhouette waved goodbye,
For the last time,
Rose petals died,
And the sky started to cry.

La, la, la I talk through my tears,
La, la, la I'm acting through my fear,
I never wanted to tell you,
But now it's too late,
I really did love you,
I will always miss you.

Your silhouette waved goodbye,
For the last time,
Rose petals died,
And the sky started to cry.

Honey doesn't taste as sweet,
As the kiss I had with you,
The grasshoppers will never sound the same,
As they did that night when you got down on one knee,
And serenaded me.

Your silhouette waved goodbye,
For the last time,
Rose petals died,
And the sky started to cry.

La *10x*
Ohhhhhhh

Your silhouette waved goodbye, (goodbye)
FOR time)
Rose petals died, (petals dieing)
And the sky started to cry. (Skies crying)
