Hendes inderste Duft er som Roser paa Mos
og Violer før Skovanemonernes Tid,
medens Vinteren dør, sidder Foraaret hos,
og Blæsten er bitter, men Blomsten er blid.

Hun er Arnens Vor Frue og Skovdybets Barn,
som gaar i Skærsommer med Øjne af Fryd
mellem Blomsterbørn, urørt af Jægeres Garn,
men rørt i sin Sjæl af et Kildevælds Lyd.
