Roses Poem by Lydia Thacker

Roses

Rating: 4.5

In the solitary melange of my garden I lie,
untouched, but moved, by the vagrant cloud.
I yearn for elusive droplets, raining upon my roses,
the moisture they find so desirable.

Sadly, my will alone
cannot overcome the cloud's resistance.
