The woman shrieked and moaned
an animal in the slaughter house

We stood by
for many decades
watching and waiting

Satan said
I will kill her and kill myself
And we stood by
watching and waiting

Near death
Satan said
I'm a killer
killing the woman
there
the instruments of death
find them
and we found them

and we stood by
watching and waiting

and the woman died
howling and moaning
a long long passage to hell

and we stood by
watching and waiting

Years passed
Satan killed himself

and we stood by
watching and waiting

Satan in our souls
we stand by
watching and waiting
