Round Smile Poem by Echo of the forest

Round Smile

The scarecrow slowly dropped his eyelids
over his father's eyes,
the same way you put the bell over a burning candle
to silence its sadness
and with coloured chalk
in one breath
he drew his mother's smile
from one side of the world
to the other.
