Rules For Cloud-Cuckoo Land Poem by Mary Champion

Rules For Cloud-Cuckoo Land

.Dr Theresa Tam, Chief Public Health Officer of Canada, says there are steps people can take to stay safe during sex amid the coronavirus pandemic. She recommends no kissing and wearing a mask to prevent the spread of respiratory droplets (2/9/2020)

New rules for safe sex -
You don't just need condoms now,
wear your masks as well.

***

Come on people, cut the drama,
why not wear a suit of armour.?
Bathe yourself in sanitizer,
hermetically seal the visor.
Condoms dipped in vats of chlorine,
pack yourself in polystyrene.
One way system you'll discover -
in this entrance - out another.
Always keep two metres distance,
wear a sign, says ‘no admittance'.
Drop in birth-rate catastrophic -
ev'rybody's Covid-phobic.
That's one way to save the planet -
erase Mankind - or near as dammit.

Love me tender, Love me true,
but wear a mask or that's taboo.
