People are just
in too much of a rush,
when they should
be taking things in stride.
What’s the use
of high speed travel,
when you miss
so much of the scenery?
People fill their lives so quickly
for fear they’ll leave something behind.
They never stop to look around
and savor what’s already there.
They just run through life
and never stop to see.
People are just
in too much of a rush,
when they should
be taking things in stride.
They never stop to see
the harmony in what there is,
just fill ‘em up at a high tech speed.
They’ll never know all
that they leave behind.
People are just
in too much of a rush,
when they really need
to sit and taste the coffee.
