Sad Single Story Poem by venessa ambrose

Sad Single Story

Let the waters flow from both sides,
And the shadow leave not his master,
Tell the tale from the tail,
Hide not a piece of shame,
Sing the rhythm of both men,
And keep not any voice in a drum,
Pour out the words like a man in rum,
And save not any note.

Tell the whole story,
And watch the eclipse,
Steal the strange clouds,
And eat up all your thoughts,
Opening the doors to the truth,
And viewing the pains of the wronged,
Their voiceless crying moans,
Souls seeking salvation,
Save us the tears of a single story.
