Sailing Life Poem by Briana Johnson

Sailing Life

Rating: 3.5

having sailed the same ship for about 14 years
you drift across the sea of old widowed tears
people washing ashore your beatin' up deck
ripping up flooring as they recover wave's wreck
grazing looks of distaste anguish wondering eyes
as ropes ruin foundations to relieve hidden lies
tangled in the reaping roar of hell's chilling call
tsunamis end the life sinking boats to their fall
