Same Girl Poem by Izobelle Pulgo

Same Girl

i may not be the same girl
who used to hug you when you're down
and promised to be there for you
when you drown,
i may not even be the girl
you thought i was
but if you just cared enough to ask
what was wrong,
and hug me tight,
wipe my tears,
as i fought a losing fight,
i would have been the same girl
who would give even her life
just to see you live
your own.
