Santa Clara Valley Poem by Ina D. Coolbrith

Santa Clara Valley

Green pasture-slopes with dotting trees;
Broad garden-stretches, far and fair;
White cloud on cloud of orchard-bloom;
A balm, a fragrance, all the air!

Whistle of blackbird, song of lark,
Carol of linnet! -where could be
A fairer land, a land as rare,
Thou little vale of Arcady?
