Sapphire Poem by Emmerald Little

Sapphire

Bright blue-grey eyes,
Full of awe of the world.
So intense at times yet
At other times light hearted,
Mischievous.
Quick to anger,
Quick to see what is hidden.
Intelligent yet denying it
Empathetic to those in need,
Feel others pain, sorrow.
Tenacious to the core.
Still trying to choose
Who you want to be.
All full of emotions,
Not always knowing or understanding them.
Quick witted,
Fast on your feet, energetic
Sings so beautifully.
Tough at times, defiant,
Wanting to do things your own way
Someone that could go far
With the intelligence and
Tenacity I see in you my second born.
Wanting to fly before its time.
Without restraints that must be there.
