Satirium Poem by Scott McQueen

Satirium

Love exists, it hurts like Hell
It's story-time, ring the bell
God's there, too; His love garnered fame
But you had better worship His loving name

Get some Sun, you look really pale
O wait, never mind, you'll get cancer cells
It's ok, for that there's a pill
Just pick a side effect you want to feel

I once loved her; I once had a Friend
But the scars I feel now will last till the end
The Sun may kill you, but you must get outside
Pills may hurt you, but they'll keep you alive

You can't avoid hurt and you can't avoid pain
Trying to dodge them with drive insane
Greet Pain with a hug, embrace Death nearly smug
You can't be a hero, so go out like a thug
