Scattering Flower Petals Across The Ocean Surface Poem by Justin Gildow

Scattering Flower Petals Across The Ocean Surface

Flower petals are numerous in our hands, love
I have a ton in my hand
And you have a ton as well
And with it daytime
We can create something special for us
A special moment for our love
We can create, for the time being, our own
lovely tale
Especially in this time of this magical summer

So after a little time has passed
You nod to me
And I smile at you

We scatter flower petals across the ocean surface
Letting them float on top of the water
And letting them drift away

After a few moments
Smiling at each other
We walk away
Ready to enjoy what's left of this day
