School Days Poem by Travis Flannigan

School Days

Rating: 5.0

When i was back there is school
nobody told me,
That i had choice
of what I would be.

They gave me a name
& they gave me my books,
They took away my freedom
& disagreed with my looks.

They said I had to behave
& contain my repulsion,
if I did not obey
I would face sure expulsion.

So I ran to the hallway
& I ran to the door,
I ran to the roadside
& I fell to the floor,
& I cried for my friends
some of which did not follow,
& I wept for the people
who's substance is hollow.

As a wise man once said,
it is what you make it,
& if you want out
you must simply break it.

You, mister are a poetry genius, and a young one at that. This is simply amazing.
