Sciaphobia
Ancestors speak to me
My heart stops beating.
My soul stops breathing
And the silence is too loud.
I need a place, to scream, to cry,
a place to heal.
I want comfort, peace,
I want to be held.
I want the loneliness of a peaceful night.
This pain!
it never heals, it leaves scars.
Scars have taught me,
Silence is not a strength.
That Men who stayed silent
may not be the strongest men.
Years have etched experience on my soul.
Experience has taught me This world,
Will let me down.
When night meets dawn and
Where darkness Surrenders to light
Echoes of Lost spirits greet me,
Ancestors beckon to me.
They petition me to surrender,
But this I cannot,
will not do.
I don't,
won't,
fear shadows any more
they show me the way
