Scorpion King Poem by Cindy J.M.S

Scorpion King

A culture of fear, will it ever change
Still exploiting us in every single way
Instilling fear so no one will dare to stray
From what you think is the right way
Truth locked behind bars, left to decay
To say he's no good, look at your game
Stuck in deception of reflection in the mirror frame
Many things you fail to see, in spirit he is free
My scorpion king, in the desert you roam
I walk beside you, let it be known
Your footsteps equal mine
Yet different choices have been made
I will not judge you for the price you had to pay
For we are free and I see within
None are free from sin, it is alright my scorpion king
You have to forgive for they cannot see
Beyond their own fear and misery
Just walk next to me, on the horizon we'll be
In spirit we have fulfilled our destiny
We are free
