Seaching Again Poem by bob barci

Seaching Again

Sitting here, once again,
staring off into space,
while the radio plays,
thinking of words,
for some sort of poem.
Words will come later,
First, I search again
for something to write about.
What do I want to say?
Discarded thoughts are still piled high,
and again, I'm in search of something to write.
The occasion calls for something,
but, as usual, the words are out to lunch.
The fault, I believe, comes from there being
too much time between each set of words.
The words don't come as often as they used to.
So, when I do try,
cobwebs get in the way.
I need to clear them away
and get my poetic thoughts into focus.
Perhaps then, instead of searching for
something to write about,
I'll have trouble in picking something
to start off with.
