Seasons Of Joy Poem by Rodney Russ

Seasons Of Joy

Winter called, the day wonders longer
Just as the winds breathe stronger
For the birds begin their journey south
Soon the climate changes come about
The moon no longer, in site at dawn
But shall rise above the clouds soon
Nor is the lawn a perfect green around
But a reddish masculine brown
From where the innings will throw
Is now covered in snow
Spring enters rapidly
Fast signs of winter fading away,
now a distant past
Light now to make the day sunny
The ground again
Green as hideous beast of currency
Life all around to return to normal
Like soldiers returning from battle
With news of enemy defeat
Thus, the cycle of nature is now complete
