Self-Love Poem by Joseph Sakyiamah

Self-Love

As the river I have become,
‎I will keep running,
‎The sun as I have become,
‎ I will keep burning and shining,
‎ The mountain as I am,
‎ I will keep climbing,
‎ The time as I am,
‎ I will keep ticking,
‎ As the air I have become,
‎ I will keep myself refreshed,
‎ Then come to think of it,
As memories spark,
‎Who think about, more than myself,
‎Who cares more than I do,
‎Who love me more than myself,
‎So I look at the sky,
‎Then I noticed, it thinks of itself first,
‎Before considering giving rain.
‎Then I realized to give a smile of self-love before anything matters.
