Senselessness Poem by Nathaniel Graves

Senselessness

How can one perceive
The opposite the other says -
But in the sense -
Continuously
Disregard
The true meaning at hand?
How?
Was it destined for
Misconstruction?
Or does the other crave this
Obliviousness
That the one projects to the other?
If that's the case,
Then this world...
Isn't what I want to be.
Millions,
Dying for a war
That doesn't exist,
And to crave that
Misconstruity,
The opposing force never secedes the
Combat -
But rather -
Fuels it,
For the pain.
And the one doesn't
Tolerate
The pain,
Especially for the other.
Because senseless pain,
Unless the other is senselessly mad,
Doesn't make sense at all.
