Oh Hope, My Love, Thou Fairest Gem,
Thou Art the Dream I Cannot Mend;
Years Have Passed, and Yet, I Grieve,
My Heart Still Torn, No Peace, No Relief.
When First We Met, My Heart Did Leap,
And Knew That Thou and I, Should Keep;
Our Love, a River, Deep and Strong,
With Tenderness, Care and Trust a Love so Long.
Oft times, We Shared in Bliss,
In Secrets, Where The World Did Miss;
The Ecstasy, The Beauty, The Bliss,
The Love We Shared, in Perfect Kiss.
But Oh, Our Love Was Tainted, From Beyond,
By Those Who Sought to Break Our Bond;
Torn From Thou, All Loves, My Dear
And Cast Me Down to Endless Fear.
And Though, My Love, I Dream of Thee
I Know, Our Future, May Not Be;
For You, My Hope, May Not Return,
And All My Love, in Vain, May Burn.
I've Lived with Pain, My Hope, for Years,
With Memories, that Bring Many Tears;
And Yet, I've Held On, To This Hope,
That Thou, My Love, Wilt Come, And Ope.
But If Thy Heart, No Longer Beats,
For Mine, Then Let Me Taste Defeat;
For I'd Rather Know, Than Live in Doubt,
And End This Pain, This Heartache, This Rout.
Oh Hope, My Love, If Thou Still Care,
And Thy Heart, For Mine, Doth Still Flare;
Let Us Reunite, and Know Again,
To Cherish Each Other, Untill the End.
