Sequels Poem by Boudhayan Mukherjee

Sequels

1. Poetry

Words detach, float
I hold the net
I reform

2.Banned Book

Reading once
the Banned Book
his world really shook
after his capture
he succumbed to torture
of him, later, we heard no more

3.Aftermath

He comes and sits in our room
wearing a white kurta hand-loom
drenched with blood

4.Elegy

I don't cry as I have time
left for it
oh hollow hours
without my child

5.His Memory

He walked into darkness
the darkness vanished
but he couldn't come out

6. Soul

You can see the shape of his soul
fruit-colored
its weight light as a fairy's wing

" Lo, how the world shakes
When the Gods tread too near"

Imagine the huge gap
that awaits his reincarnation

7.Rebirth

Death was only a means to end
his old body, to be reborn a child
we will bring up next year
