On the mossy bank
I lay entranced by the stream -
the rippling water-
murmuring over the stones
its mesmerising music,
my gaze absorbed by
fish shadows darting downstream
interweaving with
the quivering reflections
of the overhanging trees.
Here, outside of time,
the soothing sounds of water
in gentle motion
subdued the storm in my heart
and gave my mind space to breath.
