Service Parts

Are lips to kiss or truth to speak?
A nose to flaunt or smell
Are eyes for lust or meant to seek
Ways to Heaven or hell

However much we think us odd
Useless, infirm or fit
The body is a tool of God
For Man to do their bit

We’ve hands to heal to work and play
We’ve feet to walk the earth
Mouths to eat, drink, speak and pray
And organs offspring to birth

Ears to hear nature and word
Fingers through which to feel
Hearts conceiving truth we’ve heard
Our Maker to reveal

Our conscious soul for right and wrong
Ten toes balance to keep
Two feet to walk two legs to leap
And eyelids fit to sleep

We’ve knees to bend and help to fall
Ankles through which to turn
A backbone to grow up tall
And brain for us to learn

We’ve teeth to chew a tongue to taste
A face for personal guise
A passage through to pass our waste
And sense to realise

Not many members mentioned here
But few could I afford
To serve till when we disappear
To live with Christ The Lord
