Shackle Poem by Bada Olaitan Tope

Shackle

WHO WILL BREAK THE SHACKLE

Who will break the shackle?
When all are mentally chained
When all are psychologically jailed
When all are ideally shackled

Who will break the shackle?
When all we could get as vigour has drained
When all audacity to summon have feigned
When all treasure have been burgled

Who will be the last man standing?
After all the valour have slept deep in slain last twilight!
While all the dawn men are crippled
Struggling to oblige and take to their feet

Who will break the shackle?
Could those asleep be of help?
Maybe I should wake them;
It's like their souls have vacated their body
Probably I should call them;
But their ears despise sounds
Maybe I should summon an audacity and show up;
But their sights are blur

Who will break the shackle?
Should I beckon on blacksmith to reckon on?
Probably the shackle could be metamorphosed in between his anvil and hammer
Oh! What a tooless blacksmith I found
Pounding metal with wood his fond

Who will break the shackle?
Should I confide in the posterity?
That is if they are not nonentity
As cankerworm is ageing with them eating the veracity

Who will break the shackle?
This shackle has been aged
Was it attached to all's lineage?
It's like an eagle retired to a cage

What a sulphuric comfort in this shackle!
Anguish, gnashing of teeth dwells in this shackle
Tears had rolled for decades from the inhabitant of this shackle
Perhaps I and you are victim of this shackle

Who now owns the key to unlock this shackle?
Perhaps the key has hooked in our upstairs
Maybe the key is in our mindset
Probably we possess the key

Are we living in rurality?
Is that why we are in obscurity?
Maybe we should change our vicinity
And hope for an upgraded mentality.
