Shade Poem by Ina D. Coolbrith

Shade

Though the dear tasks which once I knew
I know no more, it yet is mine,
Ere I am lain where thou art laid,
To place this wreath of roses and rue
Upon thy memory’s sacred shrine,
O, thou beloved Shade!
