Shades Of Sadness Poem by Robby Villa

Shades Of Sadness

Seasons of change show your shades of sadness.
Focusing on the weather can drive your mind into madness.
As many shades of grey on a day you can see through.
Looking through shows me the the true view of you, the new, your blues, if you grew or just split into 2.
The shades of grey show what's to come.
It's thanksgiving where you have rum & a drumstick,
Some drink the rum until their numb,
Slur their speech until they feel
Like scum, you take a crash course in being a bum cause thanksgiving is just a reminder of what's unforgiving.
Shades of grey start remind us of a little further into the future.
But not too far cause you still have that computer & try to be a full time producer.
Christmas comes soon after that.
My eyes and tear ducts begin combat.
No family near by.
My eyes squint to hide the lost battles of grey in the air.
I can't find 2 to compare to feel like anything is fair.
I'm aware this is life, but show me the reason I've got a prayer.
Show me why I should continue to care.
I'm
Falling into despair.
Show me what the hell I can repair.
Spare me the questionnaire.
I wear my cuts & bruises.
I bear my scars.
The shades of sadness & grey become the stage for blackness & decay.
What's your season of change show you?
Be careful where you stare nothing you see will be untrue.
