SHADOW PASSENGER Poem by Pedro Arturo Estrada

SHADOW PASSENGER

Towards the country of the unknown I advance,
slow passenger of shadows.

A scant and dark sky
feeds my disquiet with its trail of metal rains,
with its magical descents.

I'm the blind traveller of the lunar heart.
The one who climbs and then drops,
the one who rushes after the wind
as if it was his destiny.

A window open to the night
is my soul over the abyss of death.
Vertigo is filled with stars -
my void is filled with words.
