Shadows Of Despair Poem by Hannah La Gaire

Shadows Of Despair

In the crowd yet so alone,
A whisper lost a silent moan,
Fading into the shadows feeling unseen,
A heart that aches where hope has been.

Every step feels like a heavy weight to bear,
Thoughts of worthlessness lingers in the air,
A cycle of doubt a spiral of pain,
Wishing for sunshine but caught in the rain.

I search for a reason a flicker of light,
But darkness surrounds me day turns to night,
Feeling like a failure unwanted and small,
Wondering if it matters if I'm here at all.
