That thing slithers and unfolds into hoods
and crawls around your neck, alas, like a noose!
As if breathing ignorance and hissing arrogance
it sneaks its way on your torso in haughtiness!
The over zeal in heart and a vanity in stiff-neck
expand your thorax trying to fit into that cloak
The swelters you felt under the adornedmoult
give shelters to the amour-propre that's built
The claps for you on the glitteringdaises
and the pats on you at simmering banquets
shoo you into snake-pit ofshawl
that kill your skills of life in a long haul
That clever cover turns you sultriest
and veilsyour nescience in its best
It cares youif you careits pious caresses
If you bury in its coziness, there lies your Carcass
