She'D Like To Know - Poem by Ena Nin

how regrets weigh you down,
best reason-bearing man

weary she is quite a bit
that many memories
of great told stories
will soon leave her ears

don't say a word this time
you know she loves poetry
so make her a stanza
of a few lines
and until you write
'I'm truly sorry, '
there is sincerity
about your apology
that does not yet exist.
