and I came to understand
She is love
and there is some essential beauty in wanting her
wanting to linger in her laughter
to rest in her arms
she is wild
and free
and yet divine
she is my heart’s desire
What I ask for in my prayers
The defender against anything I fear
She is my peace keeper
People don’t see what I see
Even when they’re standing next to me
She is faith
Found me tired and broken
Helped me find peace in my faith
She is everything
I’ve been looking for
My promise of something
