She Said 'I Want to Marry the Earth'
A few typed words for the digital world
(lipsticked lips were shut)
Her heart spinning like top
On flat earth theories
The stars she all counted
Over several lifetimes,
Maybe that's why man
Was no longer needed
In her torn dark satin
Peek hole universe;
Even if she did whisper
Her ears were no longer listening
To anyone's voice; too focused
On sounds beyond
The flat earth's rim
And the orchestra between lifetimes
When hearts aren't beating.
