She Sees Poem by Francis Santaquilani

She Sees

Rating: 5.0

She sees
Through swollen eyelids
And rain spattered glass
Shining as briefly

As a lightning flash
The sparkling eyes
Of the beautiful mare
She wants to be

With flowing mane
Rearing up
Against the first thin strip
Of the new day.
