She, The Loneliness And I Poem by Mary Anonymous

She, The Loneliness And I

Rating: 5.0

She knows what it feels like to be wanted
How kisses feel on expectant lips
How soft hands feel on softer skin
How being held makes you feel so small and yet;
So limitless.

Not that I would know.
I, I am not she.
I don't know how a tender touch can move the mind to madness
While the soul is at perfect peace
I don't know how a simple smile can be the only thing left that tastes sweet
When the rest of life feels so bitter

But I do know how loneliness can eat you inside out
How the want of a shared human moment can make you Break;
Into a thousand pointed shards
That eviscerate all who come near
When all you want
Is somebody.

Anybody.
