She Was My Light Poem by Marqese Dabbs

She Was My Light

Close the weary eyes
Only to be accommodated by a despoiled abode
Only inner cries can break this silent husk
A scarred lament mourning what it once was
Unconscious tears fall down from the facial surface
The days that were worth treasuring will meet and burn
Life, life, life she was my light
Light, light, light, where is my light
Those days are gone
A brandish of fear
Craving a peace of the Earth formed by the warmth
Extended felicitations that felt so blessing
Residing in the heart filling it with viability
Lightly lie upon the once vibrant spoils
This void is absent of a epiphany form
senses fade from the eternal vacuum
The satisfaction of those days shatter
Life, life, life she was my light
Light, light, light where is my light
A carving affliction towards what once was
Is it all just a foolish longing
Only to be memory who eventually turn to dusk
Burdened by a paralyzing infection
The human emotion fated to rise during such a fluttering occasion
Cruel as it falls down relentlessly, this curtain of despair
Is this nothing but life
