Shecola Poem by Justin Gildow

Shecola

Outside the gate of the castle of Shecola
The fortune teller stands beside me

After a moment or two
And telling her that I hope her magic on me
has worked
I leave her
And walk up to the gates of the castle of
Shecola

Reaching the gate
The guards look at me and let me in

Inside the castle of Shecola
Female warriors and gladiators train in the many
rooms of the castle

I talk to many of the female warriors just standing
around
They give me clues to what leads ahead for me
They share some of their knowledge with me as well

Walking around
I reach an empty chamber

Walking into the empty chamber
I'm greeted by the Queen of Shecola
She tells me she's heard of my adventures up at
Ghost Village
She asks me to train and travel with the other warriors
of Shecola
I tell her I must be on my way though
Other people are depending on me
Other people are waiting for me

She's saddened but she understands
Before I leave
The queens offers me a new weapon
A mace called ' Shooting Star '
I take it
And she tells me how it works and how to use it

The Queen of Shecola wishes me well
And soon after, we both bid farewell
Leaving the empty chamber
I take one last look around the castle of Shecola
Talking to female warriors and gladiators I might
not have talked to before
And looking around the castle of Shecola one last time

After all is said and done
I bid farewell to the female warrors and gladiators
As well as the Queen

Outside the castle of Shecola
The guards wish me the very best as I continue my journey
And I wish them the very best as well
As they continue on with their training
