Shield Of Nike Poem by Chris Tasie

Shield Of Nike

The indispensable dome and home alike
My presumed home - the shield of Nike
So strong and gigantic
Ship of history like the Titanic
Why couldn't my roof hold the rain?
Maybe the pain, one day, had be a gain.

Today, body and spirit remember you
My ''homeless state'' prays for you
My conscience, so much indebted to you
Still in me, a part of you
The indispensable dome and home alike
My presumed home - the shield of Nike
