you are a star and
you shine a light so bright

having you here means never any
darkness; theres no night

though you wrong, you are
pure as water

something so great you, you deserve
an alma mater

so many dont understand who you are
or what you strive to be

either way you should tell yourself,
God will only see the best in me

you open your mouth to
speak from your heart

words filled with love and greatness but
the world is not ready; please dont start

with no other distractions
your intelligence is beaming

you are a voice in this world and
God hears you screaming

intent on making others believers,
he shines his light through you

And though the devil puts obstacles in the way, He
is with you the whole way through

you are His and he is forever
yours

it will remain that way until and beyond the day when
you walk through heavens doors
