Sibyl: Immortality And Beauty Poem by Mohammad Yousef

Sibyl: Immortality And Beauty

By Mohammad A Yousef

In the quiet corner of an ancient grove,
where shadows dance with whispers of time,
Sibyl stands, a silhouette against the dusk,
cloaked in the fabric of forgotten dreams.
Her eyes, twin galaxies,
sparkle with the wisdom of ages,
each glance a portal to the infinite,
where echoes of the past entwine
with the breath of the present.

She is the keeper of secrets,
a tapestry woven from the threads of fate,
her voice a soft lullaby,
carrying the weight of prophecies
that drift like leaves on a gentle stream.
In her presence,
the air shimmers with the weight of truth,
and beauty unfurls like petals
in the golden light of twilight.

O, Sibyl, with hair like spun silver,
cascading down the shoulders of eternity,
you embody the dance of immortality,
a fleeting moment captured in an endless loop.
Each laugh a melody,
each sigh a sonnet written in the stars,
your spirit a flame that never dims,
radiating warmth in the cold embrace of time.

What is beauty, if not the reflection
of a soul unbound,
living in the tapestry of existence,
where every heartbeat
is a brushstroke upon the canvas of life?
You are the flower that blooms in the frost,
the dawn that breaks the silence of night,
a vision of grace that transcends
the fragile boundaries of the mortal coil.

In the gardens of longing,
where dreams take root and grow,
Sibyl walks with the ghosts of desire,
each step a reminder of what was,
and what might yet be.
With fingertips dipped in starlight,
she charts the constellations of hope,
guiding lost souls through the labyrinth
of their own making.

Yet, beneath the veil of immortality,
lies the ache of moments ungrasped,
the bittersweet taste of beauty,
woven with threads of longing,
for what is eternal but a fleeting sigh,
a breath held too long in the chest,
a dance without music,
a moonlit waltz that yearns for dawn.

In her laughter lies the echo of time,
each note a reminder
that even in beauty, there is transience,
a flicker of light against the infinite dark.
And so, as the world spins
in its relentless waltz,
Sibyl remains,
a testament to the paradox of existence—
immortal yet fallible,
beautiful yet aching,
a beacon of what it means to be alive,
in a world where time is both friend and foe,
where the heart beats,
and the soul sings,
forever reaching for the stars.
