Sight Poem by Simon Jonathan Bulus

Sight

What i feel anytime i see you.
Everything I see, I remember the old and new,
Some things I wish I never remembered, rough.
All remain a scar that disappeared and reappeared.
Though I smiled, this feeling existed within.

To my mother, a virtuous woman whom I love
Anytime I see you, I feel undying love within
If I had four eyes, I would look at you four times
The word greatness exists because of you

Fake friends, ex-lover; my best jewelry, now faded
Anytime I see you, I wonder about your attractions
If I were a seer, I would have chosen to be blind
The phrase 'had I known' exists because of you

To my friends, around whom my wall is built
Anytime I see you, I feel relieved amidst tension
For even at my darkest time, you showed me light
For my greatest blessing was having you

To my pastors, teachers, elders who built me
I have seen hope and my muse arouses wider
In my meaningless era, you gave me meaning
The word 'life' exists because of you.
To those I have made impact and built
In you I have seen hope and value, boldly
If I exist again I will still chose you
You made my existence completely valid.
