Silence Poem by Chelsea DeVries

Silence

the absence of words
between you and me,
getting louder day by day.

Who will break into
the unknown?
Who will utter
a letter,
a word,
a phrase,
a sentence?
Who wil be the one
to open their heart first?
Are you racing me
to the finish line or
are you caught in the mud
of your clique?

Make your decision before
I win the race.
